It is late June extreme heat and very little rain here; my crop is looking good so far. We’ve had several good comments about our new monthly publication TIPS FROM THE ORCHARD, our goal is to help pecan growers focus on monthly task and insect to be aware of, thanks to everyone who has contributed. It is again time to get the chemicals ordered, get the sprayers serviced and
ready to go. It was nice to see the price of pecans easing back up, I just hope it will offset the price of chemicals & fertilizer. I have talked to several growers like myself who have planted new trees this year….
